Annual WSU – WWU Dual Regatta this Weekend

The 2008 V4+ prepares to race in 2008 on the Snake
Western Washington Men’s Crew is headed to Pullman this weekend to tackle the Cougar Crew from Washington State University in the annual dual regatta between the two schools.

The Viking novice and varsity crews will race a 5k course on the Snake River, fielding a varsity 8, varsity 4, varsity Light 4 and two novice 8’s.

Last year on Lake Whatcom, the vikings and Cougars battled torrential rain and rough water to win the varsity event before racing was ultimately called off. The regatta has been an introduction to racing for the Viking novice rowers for the past few years. This year, with a competitive novice class filling two strong eights, the team is poised for a strong season.
