Here is the WWU Men’s Crew bi-annual newsletter, “The Rigger.” The fall edition features a recap of the 08-09 season as well as articles written by current WWU rowers and coaches.
For the first time in several years, the Viking men’s Varsity 8+ will compete on March 27th and 28th at the San Diego Crew Classic on Mission Bay. After rigorous training through the winter, head coach Josh Griese felt the team was capable of sending an eight to one of the most well known regattas in the country.

The viking novice rowers will head to American Lake in Tacoma, WA to race in the Daffodil regatta against several northwest rivals including UPS, Lewis and Clark, Willamette, and other members of the Northwest Collegiate Rowing Conference.
The rowers, coxes and coaches are all excited to spend their spring breaks rowing on beautiful Lake Whatcom, preparing for an exciting and promising spring season!
